Reconnect with your writing before September swallows it
Breakthrough Summer
A 2-week bootcamp for ADHD writers
Make real, focused progress in two weeks — so you walk into September already moving, instead of carrying another unfinished project into another busy season.
August 17 – 28 • Breakthrough Summer • Reconnect to your work before September madness hits
Breakthrough Summer is for...
If this makes you nod yes:
- You’re tired of fighting your brain every time you try to write
- You have a writing project you've drifted from — and you want to find your way back to it
- You feel your (suspected) ADHD makes it hard to be productive
- You know you do better when you work alongside other people
- You'd love to start the new term reconnected to your work, instead of guilty and behind
Breakthrough Summer was meant for you.
Probably not your time:
- You think it might be nice to write a book someday — but you don't have a specific project yet
- You want someone to finally bully you into being disciplined
- You'd rather keep ignoring the effects of ADHD on your writing practice
This might be better for you when your ideas are a little bit further along.
What you get
When I started hosting body doubling sessions and coaching groups a few years ago, I saw how much more joy and progress my clients experienced when they found true connection with others like them. That’s the power Breakthrough Summer was built on.
Here’s what’s included:
Connect to your work
Opening call
Goal setting, sharing hopes, getting to know one another, and the ADHD challenges that might get in the way.
10 body doubling sessions
The body doubling room is open 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. So you can find a double whenever you need one. PLUS: I’ll be there 1-2 hours every day.
Connect to others
Telegram community
Find a body double any time, share when you’re stuck, engage in gentle competition, and message me whenever you need to.
3 hot seat coaching calls
Bring your writing, organization and planning challenges, leave with ADHD-friendly solutions specific to YOUR situation.
Connect to how your ADHD brain works
3 on-demand trainings
Access to video trainings on organizing time, motivating yourself with ADHD, how to organize your writing sessions, and more.
2 Exclusive workbooks
Two workbooks that will help you set tiny, achievable goals for the bootcamp, and adjust them at the midway point.
A note on timing
Sessions are scheduled to work across the Americas, Europe/Africa, and Australasia. Once you register, you’ll get a calendar you can subscribe to that shows every session in your own local time — no conversion required.
And if you miss a live session here and there — you still have everything else. The room, the community, the workbooks, the trainings. Missing a call doesn’t mean missing the bootcamp.
Here's where you could be in September
- You open the right file on the first try. You know exactly what comes next, because you left yourself a trail back in August.
- The guilt that used to sit on every attempt? Gone. You're not negotiating with yourself anymore.
- Writing has stopped being the too-tight t-shirt you keep trying to wrangle yourself into. It's a comfortable old sweater — worn-in, easy, completely and uniquely yours.
- And when someone asks about your project this autumn? You answer with a smile.

And here's what that looks like across two weeks
Someone in the last round of Breakthrough Summer had been circling the same chapter for years — always researching, always rebuilding the outline, never quite writing.
Using the workbooks, she set ten small milestones, showed up to the body doubling room each day, and did the next small thing.
Some days the milestone barely moved. She showed up anyway.
Two weeks later, she’d finished that outline — actually finished, not revised again — and written the first of its six sections.
And more than that: she knew her next three steps. After years of circling, she wasn’t lost anymore. She was pointed at the next thing.
ADHD writers on Breakthrough Summer
You might still be wondering...
I understand why that voice is there. It has real evidence — full summers of it.
But here’s what that voice doesn’t know: you’ve been trying to write using systems that were never built for your ADHD brain. So of course it didn’t work. That doesn’t mean you’re hopeless — it means you needed a better system.
The writers who show up to Breakthrough Summer aren’t the ones who have it all figured out. They don’t write 1,000 words a day, every day. Like you, they’re tired of being disappointed in themselves, and just ready enough to try something different.
You don’t need to believe it will work. You just need to show up. The community and the resources will do the rest.
I understand that too. Two weeks is a small window, and life doesn’t know or care that you’ve finally carved out time to reconnect with your writing. With an ADHD brain, life just tends to happen anyway.
One of my clients found that out the hard way. A heat wave rolled in before her sprint even started and stayed through most of it — the kind that wears your body down before the day even begins. Partway through, her daughter came home from school with lice. At some point during those same two weeks, her house was broken into.
Here’s what usually happens next, for the ADHD brain: every interruption becomes proof. Proof she couldn’t do this. Proof she was always going to fail at this.
That’s not what happened. She kept returning to the body doubling room. Kept opening her folders. Some days the milestone barely moved. She showed up anyway.
About a week in, she noticed something: she wasn’t productive in the way she’d assumed she’d be — and normally, that would send her spiraling. But somewhere between the compassion of the group and the progress she made on the days she could focus, her mindset changed. She felt less and less insecure. More accomplished. Less alone.
A heat wave. Lice. A burglary. And she still didn’t come out of it feeling like a failure.
I hope every day of your bootcamp is a good brain day. But even if life does happen — as it so often does — you’ll still come out having done more than would’ve been possible otherwise.
That math is fair — I’d think the same thing in your position. But most of what didn’t stick wasn’t wasted on you. It was built for a brain that isn’t yours. It couldn’t have stuck.
Here’s the other side of the ledger: what has it cost you to carry that same project into September, one more time? The guilt isn’t free. Neither is the time.
Breakthrough Summer isn’t one more tool sitting unused next to the others. It’s two weeks of daily accountability, live coaching, and a room full of people working alongside you — built specifically for how your brain works. If you show up, even imperfectly, that’s a very different kind of spend than a course you meant to finish.
September is coming whether you sign up or not. The only question is whether you walk into it with two weeks of momentum behind you, or the same unfinished project you’re carrying right now.
Registration closes August 16. After that, the room opens without you in it.
You don’t need a finished plan. You don’t need to believe it’ll work yet. You just need to show up.
