Sermons on the Couch
In 2021, Cindy Gentry asked for my help with her book proposal for Sermons on the Couch: A Year of Inspirational Reflection. Her book is a fantastic resource for both religious and secular readers who are looking for daily inspiration. Her book is amazing. However, she had some trouble expressing in her proposal just how amazing Sermons would be. That's why I was happy to give her feedback on how to lift the proposal to the next level.

This is what she has to say about the experience.
It was a pleasure working with Susanne. The book proposal I submitted to her had been unsuccessful. Thanks in large part to her guidance, especially in helping me more confidently assert the assets of the book, my proposal went on to win a publishing contract with Hay House, Inc. upon resubmission.
Out of the hundreds of proposals that people submitted to the Hay House competition, Hay House selected hers as the winner! And that is why now, Sermons on the Couch is successfully published. And I am so happy to have been a part of Cindy’s publishing journey.
The essays and journaling prompts in this book really do make it a lovely resource to have on your shelf. What’s more: every essay she has matched with a “hymn”: a popular song that can help you reflect on and deepen your understanding of the day’s theme.
You can find the book on the publisher website and through all major online booksellers.
