Deep Doubt, Deep Wisdom
Katrina Hahling, the author and publisher, hired me to edit her book Deep Doubt, Deep Wisdom: Overcoming doubt and insecurity to create success. When she approached me, I couldn't be more excited. This is an amazing book, with chapter contributions by some incredibly powerful women. I'm so honored to have been a part of the book's journey!
Katrina Hahling, the author and publisher, hired me to edit her book Deep Doubt, Deep Wisdom: Overcoming doubt and insecurity to create success. When she approached me, I couldn’t be more excited. One of Katrina’s main concerns was cohesion throughout the book. And as the former series editor of the Emerald Interdisciplinary Connexions series, I understood exactly what she was talking about. When you’re working with contributions from different authors, you want to make sure not to make the book seem too disjointed. Though you want to protect the individual authors’ unique voices and viewpoints, you don’t want to give your readers a whiplash whenever they move onto the next chapter. That means that in works like these, you need to strike a delicate balance between cohesion and diversity. You need to find a midpoint between uniformity and variety. This was quite the challenge, but it’s the kind of challenge that I live for!
It was such a pleasure to work on this book. Not just because I liked the challenge, but also because of the fantastic premise. Deep Doubt, Deep Wisdom was designed to offer women recognition and tools that can help them manage their fears and self-doubt. Now, that’s a goal I can get behind!
You can find Deep Doubt on the publisher’s website or through all major online book sellers.
